Coral Eye Marine Outpost offers a truly distinctive vacation experience—combining boutique resort comfort, exceptional diving, meaningful conservation, and the warm hospitality of Indonesia. Whether you're exploring vibrant coral reefs, learning about marine science, or simply relaxing on a beautiful tropical island, Coral Eye provides an unforgettable destination for divers and non-divers alike.

Coral Eye offers plenty to enjoy for guests who prefer to stay above the surface. Snorkeling directly from the resort reveals colorful coral reefs teeming with marine life just steps from the beach. Guests can also explore the coastline by kayak or stand-up paddleboard, stroll along the resort's 200-meter white-sand beach, or simply relax by the pool or on the beachfront. Those interested in marine conservation can attend lectures, workshops, and presentations hosted through the Marine Outpost, where scientists and researchers regularly share their work. Nature lovers can also enjoy birdwatching, photography, island excursions, and simply immersing themselves in the peaceful tropical surroundings.

Snorkeling Bangka

Colorful corals and a variety of reef fish can be spotted in shallow waters in the Coral Eye House Reef, making this a perfect experience even for those who prefer not to dive. With water temperatures ranging from 80°F to 86°F, snorkeling is comfortable year-round.

Snorkelers are encouraged to join the boats for snorkeling pending space availability.

While the area is generally safe to explore independently, currents may occasionally occur.   For added safety, or simply to enrich your experience, guided snorkeling sessions, including night snorkeling, are available.  Like the divers, you will have a guide.  The boat crew will pay close attention to any snorkelers in the water and will pick up snorkelers whenever a signal is given.  We recommend a wetsuit for sun and jellyfish sting protection, along with suitable mask, snorkel and fins, due to possible currents. Snorkeling by boat has a charge.

It is possible to glide over the coral gardens, or swimming past the rocky cape to explore the spectacular mangroves beyond.

Bunaken Marine Park

Located in North Sulawesi, Indonesia, Bunaken Marine National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its incredible marine biodiversity and stunning underwater topography. The park which is located in the most biodiverse corner of the world: In the heart of the Coral Triangle.

The park offers dramatic vertical coral walls adorned with hard and soft corals, sponges, and gorgonian sea fans. It is home to large green turtles, schools of reef fish, and occasional sightings of reef sharks and eagle rays.
